%A Chewe, Pailet %A Zulu, Zachary %D 2020 %T A Survey of Digital Literacy Skills among Librarians in Zambia %K %X The purpose of the study was to investigate digital literacy skills among library professionals in Zambia and to examine the extent to which digital skills are being used in libraries to enhance service delivery. The main objective of this study was to investigate digital literacy skills among library professionals in Zambia and to explore the extent to which these skills are being used in libraries to enhance service delivery. A survey research design was chosen for this study in which data was collected via online questionnaires. The study used purposive sampling technique to select a sample of 81 respondents. The study found that there is still low digital literacy among librarians and as a consequence it was recommended that more efforts should be devoted to incorporate digital literacy programmes in the institutions’ curricular, as well as more training programmes for librarians. The paper provides insight into the state of digital literacy levels of library professionals in Zambia.
