The Zambian Journal of Library & Information Science (ZAJLIS) is a journal in the field of Library and Information Science in Zambia. It is published bi-annually by the Department of Library and Information Science at the University of Zambia. The goal of ZAJLIS is to publish insightful, innovative and effective research to satisfy both local and international scholars and professionals in the province of Library and Information Science.

The Zambia Journal of Library & Information Science (ZAJLIS) and the Bavarian Journal of Applied Sciences (BJAS) invite contributions for a special issue on Open Science, exploring its role in advancing sustainable development, digital knowledge systems, and interdisciplinary collaboration in Sub-Saharan Africa and beyond. This issue aims to bring together applied research that demonstrates the impact of Open Science in various fields, from environmental protection to education and technology-driven knowledge sharing.
