Krikelas’ model of Information-seeking behaviour: Implication for information service delivery in libraries
Main Article Content
Abstract
The Krikelas model of Information Seeking Behaviour (ISB) is one of the foremost models that explain the process of information retrieval. However, how this model influences the information service delivery system in libraries seems to be missing in literature. This article therefore fill that gap by first examine the concepts that made up the model. Consequently, the article examines how components and prepositions of the model affect the delivery of information services in libraries. The article revealed that Krikelas model of ISB has implication for strengthening users’ access to information. Based on this, some recommendations were made on improving information service delivery in libraries.
